How do I book my Function at SPBC?

To book your function please fill in the booking enquiry form. We will come back to you with a response on availability and costing along with a booking form to fill in and return. A deposit is required along with the completed booking form to secure the booking. There are different deposit requirements depending on the event so please refer to our terms and conditions.

Can I just book a room, or just play bowls?

Please note that hosting your event here at SPBC does not involve the need to book the entire Clubhouse &/or Greens, as our rooms and areas are all suitable for individual booking and hire. Neither is it a requirement that you, or your guests, are required to play bowls.

Do I need to make an appointment to come and have a look at the venue?

If you would like to come and have a look you can come down between 4pm and 6pm Tuesday to Friday. If you would like to come and discuss your function please make an appointment.

We have never bowled before do we get instruction?

Yes, your instructor will set up your bowls, gets you into groups and show you how to play.

What happens if it rains?

Our green drains quickly, therefore if it is just a sprinkle it will be fine getting out to bowl after it finishes. If the weather doesn’t permit you to bowl, you can get a refund for the bowls or reschedule.

Are children allowed?

Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on the Greens. We are fully licensed venue. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent and supervised at all times.

How much time do we get to bowl?

We allow 2 hours duration for bowling.

Can we hang around after our bowling session?

On the majority of occasions you are welcome to hang around and have a drink after you have bowled, the only exception being peak season/Xmas when the club is very busy. We ask that timing is pre arranged at this time to make sure we can accommodate everyone.

Do we hold 18th/21st birthday parties?

No we do not cater for this age group.

When do you need final numbers?

Numbers must be finalised two weeks before the event.

What payment options are there at SPBC?

Direct Debit/ Bank Transfer, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard , Amex and Cash are accepted.

When is final payment due?

Final payment is required one week prior to your function.

Can we bring our own beverages?

No. Under the terms of our liquor license BYO of any beverages is prohibited. We reserve the right to remove any beverages not provided by the Club.

Are outside catering services permitted at SPBC?

Yes you can use caterers of your choice, self cater or organise through our preferred caterer.

Is there ample parking?

There is ample parking available in the car parks alongside and opposite the clubrooms. (this is paid parking please refer to our parking information at the end of our function information) There is also some street parking available.

Is it possible for me to bring in my own decorations?

You are welcome to decorate the room. We ask that nothing is stuck to the walls ceiling and windows, no scatters are used and all candles are contained. Any decorations must be removed after the function has concluded.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, SPBC is a wheelchair accessible; we have two disabled toilets at the club.
