Last Sunday at Innaloo Bowling Club Scott Walker qualified for the 2016 Australian Indoor Singles, securing one of three Western Australian places in the event.
Through the four qualifying matches Scott played particularly well, having the enviable record of not losing a set in the set-play format.
His biggest scare came in the final round, where he trailed Bassendean’s Deane Payne in the first set before running out an 8-6 & 9-4 victor.
Scott follows in the footsteps of Glenn Pauling (2012) and Vinnie Santostefano (2013) who previously represented South Perth in the Australian Indoor Singles.
