South Perth put up an impressive performance at last weekend’s Mandurah APL Carnival.
Pitted in a tough section, which included fellow Premier League clubs Cambridge and Doubleview, the side of Sally Wilke, Greg Reagan, Ashley Sharp and Nick Reagan topped their group to progress to the elimination stages of the event.
Winning all five games on the first day, the Miller outfit, managed by Scott Walker finished top of it’s group and was drawn against reigning Premier League Champions, Bassendean in the quarter finals.
Despite their best efforts the South Perth side was narrowly defeated in the quarter finals, losing 4-6 and 6-6 in the set-play format event.
