Ken Pride was eliminated today in the Semi Finals of the coveted Doubleview Masters Pairs event.
Playing with Cambridge’s Pieter Harris, the composite side progressed through sectional play with little trouble and won both games Monday before falling to Cody Packer and Shane Knott (9-19) on Tuesday morning.
In sectional play they defeated Jim Barry and Bruce Eagles (20-4), Steve Srhoy and John Morgan (27-11) then drew Steve Withers and Aj Heal (13-all).
Post-section they eliminated the country duo of Gary Keep and Robert Bowron (14-9) and later on Monday Justin Opie and Daniel Brown (18-16).
Also progressing past sectional play were the perennial performers Glenn Pauling and Scott Walker. They were eliminated on Monday morning by the Cambridge duo of John Sharp and Andrew Ness (17-19) in the round of 16.
In their section they sent last year’s runners-up Lewis Grigg and David Rankin to an early exit (18-11).
Other representatives for South Perth were Nick Reagan, who won two games with Lindsay Thorn from Doubleview.
Greg Reagan and Adrian Durrant went close to progressing from a section that also included our own David Hagen and Steve Kelly.
